Before undergoing a Brazilian buttock lift (liposuction with fat transfer), it is important that as a patient you understand what a Brazilian butt lift procedure entails. If in doubt, ask Dr. Williams, our expert butt lift surgeon, and the Tri Valley Plastic Surgery team to discuss specific issues.
What is a Brazilian butt lift procedure?
Brazilian butt lift / BBL surgery (liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks): A cosmetic surgical procedure where Dr. Williams, our butt lift surgeon performs liposuction to the abdomen, flanks, thighs, back or other areas, processes the fat, then using special techniques, reinjects the fat into the buttocks and hips to improve the shape and contour. The Brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in a youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. Dr. Williams removes fat from selected areas of your body, purify the fat, then reinject selected donor fat cells into your buttocks. The process of fat reinjection involves scores or hundreds of injections which all take place through just a few small liposuction type incisions. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant and other parts of your buttocks and hips so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that the woman appears more attractive and sensuous.
What are the Brazilian butt lift surgery procedure steps?
Brazilian butt lift is a highly individualized procedure achieved through a variety of incision patterns and techniques. The appropriate technique for your individual case will be determined by your goals, the amount of fat you have, where that fat is and your skin quality and skin elasticity. Dr. Williams, our top BBL doctor in California will review your incision options to maximize your cosmetic result. Brazilian butt lift surgical steps: Step 1 - Anesthesia: Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedures. Step 2 – The Incision: The incisions for both the liposuction portion of the operation and the fat transfer portion of the operation are small (usually less than 5mm). We position the incisions in places that are hard to see, like inside the belly button. These incisions allow us to perform liposuction and the fat transfer portion of the operation. Typically there are about two incisions per area. Step 3 - Results: The results of Brazilian buttock lift surgery are immediately visible. However, the shape continues to improve over 3-6 months as the swelling resolves. Our techniques usually result in about 80% of the fat we transfer making a permanent improvement. Patients wear compression garments for about 4 weeks to decrease swelling and help the skin to tighten in the areas that liposuction has been performed. Typically it takes some time for the final result of the liposuction to take effect and patients see continual improvement over time.
What are the Brazilian butt lift surgery recovery and healing steps?
Once your Brazilian buttock lift procedure is completed, the surgical areas will be covered in dressings. You will have to wear a compression garment for several weeks. Brazilian butt lift recovery times vary from patient to patient. Initial Brazilian butt lift recovery may include swelling and slight discomfort at the incision sites and the buttocks. It is quite common to experience discomfort which is well controlled with medication. The Tri Valley Plastic Surgery team will advise you of the following: * How to care for the surgical sites following surgery, * Medications to apply or to take orally to reduce the risk of infection, * Specific changes at the surgical site or in overall health, * Follow up consultation with Dr. Williams and the Tri Valley Plastic Surgery team. * Brazilian butt lift post-op care: Tri Valley Plastic Surgery has done a large number of these procedures with a solid track record of happy patients. We have a specific post-op regimen that helps to insure good results. A return to light and normal activity is possible as soon as you feel ready, which is normally a few days after surgery, however initial healing may take between 5 to 10 days. You will be able to return to work and resume normal activity after this time. It is advisable not to engage in any vigorous exercise or activity or heavy lifting within 4 to 6 weeks after your procedure to avoid bleeding complications. Brazilian butt lift recovery times can take up to several weeks as swelling slowly resolves. Incisions will gradually fade; although permanent they are often inconspicuous. “I had a Brazilian butt lift that turned out so AMAZING that words wont even explain. I wish I could post pictures on this site to show the wonderful results.. I can say that Dr. Williams listens to what your ultimate goal is and is honest with you if what you are looking for is achievable or not. I really like the honesty, because previously being a plastic surgery patient elsewhere and not receiving results that were promised was a huge disappointment! He is also so meticulous about scars and about making sure everything is just perfect! I am definitely a patient for life! Thank you Doc! You are AMAZING!!”
