Can an LED Device Metabolize Facial Fat?

There is no evidence that supports the claim of metabolism of fat through LED light and I would be highly suspicious of any claims purporting to achieve that. In addition, LED light being used to destroy or breakdown or cause faster absorption of facial fillers has no basis is science.

Clinical Context

LED light therapy is generally safe, but its energy is too gentle to reach fat cells or dissolve filler sitting under the skin. Because there's no mechanism for it to change fat or break down filler, relying on LED for those goals can mean delaying treatments that actually work, such as diet and exercise for fat, or hyaluronidase injections for unwanted filler. LED is best understood as a skin-quality treatment, not a fat- or filler-reduction tool.
