Can I Increase the Size of my Existing Saline Breast Implants?

The skin on your breasts as well as breast volume may undergo significant change. Typically, patients should wait 6 months to one year to see the final shape of your breasts. patience will significantly improve the chance of you being able to accurately assess what (if any) changes need to happen.

Clinical Context

After implant surgery, breast tissue and skin continue to adjust as swelling resolves and the surgical pocket heals. This settling affects how implants sit and look, which is why judging final results too soon can be misleading. Saline implants are typically sealed once placed, so increasing size usually means replacing them with a larger implant rather than simply adding more saline. Talk with your surgeon about your goals so you can plan the right timing and approach for a safe, satisfying result.
