Can Zeltiq Cool Sculpting Be Used for Upper Arm Fat?

Arms can be treated with CoolSculpting, but you will have to have a consultation in order to assess the area to make sure you are a good candidate for the treatment. Applicator options vary, and the provider selects the appropriate one based on your anatomy, so not everyone will be an ideal candidate depending on how much fat can be drawn into the applicator. Keep in mind that if you have loose skin, it may worse once the fat is reduced from the arms. It is best to get evaluated to see if this treatment will work for your areas of concern.

Clinical Context

CoolSculpting was first studied and approved for areas with pinchable fat pads, like the flanks and abdomen. Arms have less fat to grab and more mobile tissue, so applicator fit varies more from person to person. Some patients see nice circumference reduction; others aren't good candidates because the fat can't be adequately drawn into the applicator. This is why an in-person exam, rather than a phone or photo consult, is especially important before treating the arms.
