Do I need more filler in my lips to correct the unevenness?

Depending on how much product was placed and in what plane, it's possible that adding more filler can lead to migration. I would recommend dissolving and refilling the top lip with a different, less hydrophilic product. I find Juvederm Ultra Plus to be very thick and somewhat stiff; however, it can be the right product in a patient with very deflated lips. Always remember to see an experienced, board-certified provider.

Clinical Context

Uneven lips after filler can happen when different hyaluronic acid gels absorb water differently, or when product settles unevenly after injection. Dissolving the old filler lets your provider see your true lip shape before treating again. Starting fresh with a firmer, less water-attracting gel often gives a smoother, more predictable result than adding more filler on top of an existing imbalance. Your injector can help choose the right product for your goals.
