Does Coolsculpting Work on Inner Sides of Knees?
CoolSculpting can be done on many areas. The areas have to be pliable in order to be pulled by the suction of the applicator. The knees would be a difficult area to treat since applicator options vary and none may fit correctly over this area. It is always best to have a consultation with a provider to see if you are a candidate for this treatment. If they do decide that this area can be treated, it is considered off-label.
Clinical Context
The inner knee has very little fat, and the skin there is thin and tightly connected to the joint underneath. CoolSculpting works by pulling tissue into a cooling applicator, so it needs a soft, pinchable pocket of fat to treat safely and evenly. Because the knee area doesn't pull or sit still the way the abdomen or flanks do, most CoolSculpting applicators can't get a proper seal or grip there, which is why this area is rarely treated and considered off-label when it is.
