How Does Zeltiq Coolsculpting Affect Cholesterol Levels in the Bloodstream?

This was taken straight from the CoolSculpting website: A multi-site study examined the effect of Cryolipolysis® on serum lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) and liver function test results and showed: No damage to overlying skin or surrounding structures confirmed by clinical observation. No meaningful changes in mean values were observed for any blood lipid level or liver test at any point over the 12-week follow-up period.

Clinical Context

The trade-off worth understanding is timing, not danger to your lipid panel. As treated fat cells break down, their contents are released gradually and cleared through the liver over several weeks, so triglycerides and cholesterol don't spike the way they might after eating a large fatty meal. Studies tracking blood lipids and liver markers after treatment haven't shown meaningful changes. The real caveat is patience: results build slowly, so don't expect blood work or body shape to shift right away.
