How Many Treatment Does 1 Area Need for Cool Scupting in Order to Get Result?

The number of cycles can vary from person to person and depending on the area being treated. The only way to determine the number of cycles needed is to be evaluated in person for a consultation. In the consultation, the clinician can go over the treatment in detail and decide if you are a candidate for CoolSculpting and how many treatments are recommended.

Keep in mind that results are not immediate. Most people see gradual improvement over the course of one to four months as the treated fat cells are cleared from the body.

Clinical Context

CoolSculpting cools the fat you can pinch into the applicator during one cycle. Areas with a thicker fat pad, uneven contour, or looser skin sometimes need overlapping cycles to treat the whole area evenly, which is why two people with similar-looking areas may need different numbers of sessions. Fat distribution and skin quality vary from person to person, so there's no fixed number of cycles that works for everyone. An in-person evaluation lets your provider map out a treatment plan suited to your specific anatomy and goals.
