How much fat will be reduced from the arms by coolsculpting?

CoolSculpting can be done at the arms, but it is considered and off-label treatment area. The same amount of fat is reduced at the arms as with other body areas, and is normally around 20-25% reduction, with results appearing gradually over about 1 to 4 months. This is a fat-bulge reduction treatment for a visible area of fat, not a weight-loss treatment. It is always best to have a consultation to assess the area to be treated to see if you are a candidate for the treatment because sometimes the area can have excess skin and not necessarily fat which can't be addressed with CoolSculpting.

Clinical Context

Upper arms often feel 'loose' due to stretched skin rather than excess fat, especially after weight loss or with aging. CoolSculpting works by drawing a fold of fat into its applicator, so it can't improve skin laxity. If skin quality—not fat volume—is the main issue, other treatments like skin tightening or an arm lift may work better. A hands-on exam helps determine whether fat reduction alone will meet your goals for the arms.
