How would you lose the apron fat without having to do surgery?

Liposuction produces the most dramatic results in localized fat reduction with small incisions. However, usually the term "apron" usually refers to excess skin and fat over the abdomen. Non-invasive techniques like cool sculpting can make small differences without the need for surgery. Be sure to discuss with your board-certified plastic surgeon!

Clinical Context

People often use "apron belly" to describe two different things: a soft fat pad sitting on top of skin that still has some elastic recoil, or true skin excess that hangs and folds, often left over from pregnancy or significant weight change. The first can respond to fat-reduction devices because the skin can settle down once the fat layer thins. The second involves skin that has lost its ability to spring back, so treating the fat underneath doesn't change the drape or the fold. Telling these apart usually requires a hands-on exam rather than a description or photo alone.
