Is it ok to use Arnica gel or oral arnica tablets after the procedure?

Arnica is fine to take after your CoolSculpting treatment and should not adversely affect your results. Many people use arnica gel or tablets to help ease bruising, though the scientific evidence behind it is limited, so think of it as a reasonable option rather than a guaranteed fix. Bruising after CoolSculpting comes from the small vessels affected during treatment, and it is usually mild, fading gradually over one to two weeks as your body reabsorbs it.

The bruising should subside over time, but if it worsens or persists, contact your provider. Bruising that spreads, becomes firmer, or grows more tender is not typical and deserves a call regardless of whether you're using arnica.

Clinical Context

Arnica gel or tablets are commonly used to ease bruising, though scientific evidence for their effectiveness is limited. They are generally safe to use during CoolSculpting recovery. Typical post-treatment bruising is mild and improves gradually on its own. Bruising that spreads, feels increasingly firm, or grows more tender is different from normal bruising and should be reported to your provider, regardless of any supplements you're taking.
