Laser Hair Removal After Chin Implant?
Six weeks after surgery you should be OK for laser treatment for hair. This assumes you've had a normal post-op course. If there have been wound healing problems or any other complication then you should wait for these issues to be resolved.
Clinical Context
After chin implant surgery, most surgeons suggest waiting until swelling has fully resolved and any incision has matured—often several weeks to a few months—before resuming laser hair removal near the treated area. Healing skin can be more sensitive to heat, and altered sensation or subtle contour changes may make it harder to gauge normal treatment discomfort. Laser energy works by targeting melanin in hair follicles, so uneven healing or residual swelling could affect accuracy. Confirming readiness with your surgeon before scheduling treatment helps avoid burns, pigment changes, or unnecessary irritation to healing tissue.
