Signs of Good Results With Coolsculpting?

Sometimes the "stick of butter" may not be as dramatic in patients who have less tissue to be drawn into the applicator by the suction. The little red dots you see are temporary bruises due to the suction and should resolve over the next few days or so. Side effects can vary from person to person and are not necessarily indicative of results, and results are usually not apparent for the first month, with continued improvement often seen up to about 4 months. If you do not see results after 4 months, you should consult with the person who provided your treatment.

Clinical Context

Good results show up in the fat layer itself, not the skin covering it — the treated area should feel softer and less pinchable, with a gradual thinning of that subcutaneous fat pad over the following weeks. Because the applicator targets fat between skin and muscle, results depend on how much pinchable fat was there to begin with; areas with minimal fat or mostly loose skin won't show the same change. Redness or bruising from the applicator is temporary and unrelated to the actual fat reduction happening underneath.
