Upper Blepharoplasty Scar Healing Problem?
That bulge is most likely a small area of an absorbable suture that hasn't fully dissolved yet, or a bit of localized swelling/scar thickening along the incision line. Both are common and usually resolve on their own. At around 15 weeks, most upper blepharoplasty incisions have faded to a thin, flesh-colored line, so a firm or raised spot at this stage is worth pointing out to your surgeon rather than waiting it out indefinitely. Suture reactions can cause a small red or firm bump that resolves once the stitch fully absorbs or is removed in-office, a quick and simple fix. Occasionally what feels like a bulge is just early hypertrophic scarring, which responds well to massage, silicone sheeting, or a steroid injection if needed. Since I can't examine the area myself, your best next step is a follow-up visit with your surgeon, who can look at the incision directly and tell you whether it's suture, scar, or something else entirely.
Clinical Context
Firmness along an eyelid incision at this stage is usually either a retained suture working its way to the surface or early scar tissue still remodeling. Eyelid skin is thin, so even small irregularities can feel more noticeable than they look. Both causes are common and typically improve with time, massage, or silicone gel. A firm or raised area that hasn't softened by three to four months is reasonable to have checked at a follow-up visit.
