What Are Hydrofil Breast Augmentation Injections?
I have not heard of Hydrofil as a technique to enlarge breasts and at least in the United States, do not believe this product has been approved by the FDA for this application. It does remind me of the days when people used products like liquid silicone injections to augment breasts - with fairly di sasterous results. Be sure to research the doctor and product completely. And always seek the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon.
Clinical Context
Products like Hydrofil are injectable hydrogel fillers, not implants — they’re placed directly into breast tissue rather than in a surgical pocket. Because they aren’t contained, these gels can shift, clump, or settle unevenly over time, and problems are hard to fix without surgery. Similar unregulated breast fillers have also been linked to complications and difficulty reading mammograms. They are not FDA-approved for breast augmentation in the U.S.
