As a person with Von Willebrand disease (vWD), should I even consider Breast Augmentation/ Lift?

You're right to consider your options. People with this medical issue can have increased risk for bleeding. Usually, surgery can be safely performed with coordination with your hematologist. We've been fortunate enough to perform procedures on many patients with bleeding dyscrasias and they've done well but only after careful discussion, preparation and planning.

Clinical Context

Von Willebrand disease affects how blood clots, so people with it can bleed or ooze more than usual during and after surgery. The condition has different subtypes, and treatment before surgery varies — some patients take medication to boost clotting factors temporarily, others need blood product infusions. Your hematologist determines the right plan based on your specific subtype and levels. Surgeons also take extra precautions, such as more careful control of bleeding during the procedure and closer monitoring afterward.
