Do I Really Need Double Dysport to Get Same Effect of Botox?

Dysport comes in 300 unit vials and Botox comes in 100 unit vials. The conversion of the units is what may make it seem like you need more Dysport, but it should not really make a big difference in pricing. An experienced injector will know exactly how much Dysport/Botox to use in each area so that you do not have to worry about the conversion of units between the 2 products.

Clinical Context

Dysport and Botox aren't measured in the same units, so there's no exact conversion between them—each product's units are defined by its own testing. Reported ratios (often cited as 2.5:1) come from small comparative studies, not a fixed formula. How much you need also depends on your muscle strength, injection technique, and how your body responds, so the same dose can look different from patient to patient.
