Is it OK to take Tylenol COLD+FLU 5 days after Dysport?
Yes, it's okay to take those medications after Dysport. There should not be any drug interactions with that. By five days out, the Dysport has already taken hold in the muscles it was injected into, so adding a cold and flu medication won't change how it works or how long it lasts. Acetaminophen and decongestants act through completely different pathways in the body, so there's no interference either way.
One thing worth noting: if you're feeling stuffy, achy, or feverish around this time, that's your illness talking, not the Dysport. Don't assume the injection caused those symptoms. If you notice anything unusual near the injection site itself, like new swelling, drooping, or pain, that's worth calling about.
Clinical Context
By five days after Dysport, the treatment has already taken effect in the muscles it targets. Cold and flu medications like acetaminophen and decongestants work through different pathways in the body and don't interact with Dysport. One thing to keep in mind: symptoms like a stuffy nose or mild fever are from the illness itself, not the treatment, so don't assume Dysport is the cause if you're feeling under the weather.
