How Do You Correct Eyelid Drooping from Dysport?

If you have drooping of your eyelid, I would suggest seeing your injector in order to be evaluated in person. Prescription eyedrops are available that may improve the drooping by opening up the lid a couple of millimeters. Unfortunately, the only other thing to do is to wait for the product to wear off. It may also be a good idea to try less product and to make sure you are being treated by an experienced injector. If Dysport is causing drooping for you consistently, maybe you can try Botox.

Clinical Context

Eyelid drooping (ptosis) after Dysport happens when a small amount of toxin spreads to the muscle that keeps the upper eyelid raised. This is a known, temporary side effect and not a sign of injection error alone. Prescription eyedrops like apraclonidine can stimulate a different, unaffected muscle to lift the lid slightly while the toxin wears off, usually over several weeks. It resolves on its own without lasting effects.
