I am nervous because I now have read that Lyft should not be used under eyes. Is this true?
It's possible that the lyft was used in the anterior mid face to give more support to the tear trough region. All fillers are considered "off-label" in the periorbital/tear trough region but frequently restylane is used directly into the tear trough and lyft can be used either in the mid face or dee p on periosteum in the periorbital region for more support.
Clinical Context
The under-eye area is different from other injection sites because the skin is thin and blood vessels sit close to the surface. Placing a thicker filler like Lyft too superficially can cause visible bumps or a bluish tint, while deeper placement near the bone lowers that risk but demands precise technique to avoid nearby vessels. Your injector's choice of depth and placement, more than the product itself, determines how smoothly this area heals.
