Is 600 Cc Enough Fat to Make a Difference for Brazilian Butt Lift?
600 cc of fat is typically a significant change. There are limits to the amount of fat you can transfer both in terms of fat survival as well as (especially in your case) ability to harvest enough fat. In addition, for patients that are relatively thin, the improvement from liposuction itself (a significant part of the difference in contour) tends to be less.
Clinical Context
BBL safety depends heavily on technique, not just fat volume. Surgeons inject fat in small amounts using blunt cannulas, placing it above the gluteal muscle in the subcutaneous fat only. Injecting into or near the muscle raises the risk of fat entering large veins there, which can cause a serious complication called fat embolism. Staying in the safer subcutaneous plane, spreading fat evenly, and avoiding excess pressure all help reduce this risk, regardless of total fat transferred.
