Laser Hair Removal and Breast Implants

Thanks for your question There should be no problems with laser hair removal and your implants. It is important to avoid direct laser energy to your incisions for the first 6 months while they heal. Your provider may custom design shielding to avoid your scars if the hair removal area is close. I hope this helps!

Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy to target the melanin in hair follicles, destroying the follicle’s ability to produce new hair. Most patients require 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal reduction.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends choosing a board-certified plastic surgeon for any cosmetic procedure.
