Lost 90 pounds and need a tummy tuck but can only afford lipo: Would getting lipo make a difference in size of tummy?

Liposuction removes pinchable fat under the skin, however, it doesn't target loose skin or loose muscle. It helps remove stubborn fat pockets that diet and exercise leave behind, as well as contouring and shaping the body lines where fat remains. However, it does not tighten the muscle wall under the stomach. This is a great procedure if you currently have firm skin and leftover pinchable fat.

Clinical Context

Liposuction removes fat cells permanently from the treated area, but it can't address stretched-out skin or separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), which are common after major weight loss. Skin has some ability to spring back after fat is removed, but once it's stretched past a certain point, it stays loose regardless of how much fat is taken out beneath it. This is why results vary so much between patients depending on their skin's remaining elasticity.
