Butt Looks Too High After Brazilian Butt Lift
We perform many of these operations in our practice. The healing process takes time. In the first two weeks there is a substantial amount of swelling both in the area of fat transfer (your buttocks) and the areas that were liposuctioned (most commonly at least your abdomen and flanks). Clinical Context
Looking 'too high' right after a BBL is usually swelling in the buttocks and lower back, not the true position of the transferred fat. This swelling can be uneven and often sits higher near the top of the buttocks in the early weeks. As it fades, the shape settles into its lasting contour. If fat was purposely placed higher for a fuller upper silhouette, that height stays consistent from the start, unlike swelling, which changes week to week.
