Right Breast Implant Sits Higher Than the Other
It is still very early in your post-op course. Breast implants usually descend in the first few months. There is significant debate about whether dressings (bandages and the like) or massage will actually facilitate repositioning implants. Certainly, implants will descend somewhat on their own. Either way, massage and bandages will certainly not hurt, but your best friend will be additional time. Be sure to discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.
Clinical Context
Implants often settle unevenly at first because swelling and pocket relaxation aren't symmetric right after surgery. If one side stays noticeably higher for several months, causes can include how the surgical pocket was shaped or early capsular tightening around the implant. Some people also have naturally uneven rib or chest wall contours that make implants look asymmetric even when they're positioned correctly. Your surgeon can tell which explanation fits by watching how things change over time.
