My Silicone Gel Implants Feel Like Rocks

I love asking questions on here. Thanks for being so helpful. It's been 3 weeks since my breast augmentation surgery and I still feel a lot of weight/pressure when I sleep on my back at night (like 2 rocks on my chest). Does this feeling ever go away? Silicone gel under the muscle hp-incase you need to know. They still feel like rocks.

Silicone Implants Hard

Thanks for your question. It is not unusal for your new implants to still have significant swelling as well as your pectoralis muscles still have some degree of spasm all of which can make your implants seem more firm than usual. You should begin to have some improvement in the firmness at this point (3 weeks) but you may still have a significant amount for another few weeks. I hope this helps.

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the United States, with over 300,000 procedures annually. Modern breast implants are available in saline and silicone gel formulations, in round and anatomic (teardrop) shapes. Implant placement can be subglandular (over the muscle) or submuscular (partially or fully under the pectoralis muscle).

The American Board of Plastic Surgery maintains rigorous standards for certification that go well beyond state medical licensing requirements.
