When Will Right Implant Settle After Breast Augmentation and Lift?
It is difficult to say with 100% certainty, but if one implant has settled well and the other has not, this would raise some concerns. In addition, the majority of the swelling and settling should be resolved by 4 months. I would have a conversation with your plastic surgeon.
Clinical Context
After combined augmentation and lift, the implant and the tightened skin settle at different rates, so some asymmetry in the early months is normal. Most of this evens out as swelling fades and the implant drops into its final position. What matters most is the direction of change: an implant that keeps gradually lowering and softening is on a normal track. One that stays high, feels firm, or seems to get tighter over time should be checked, since that pattern can suggest a pocket or scar-tissue issue rather than normal settling.
