Will Be 4 Days Today at 4pm, and There's No Change. Is that Normal?
While Dysport normally can start working as soon as 2-3 days, it can take up to 14 days for it to take full effect. If after 14 days, you still do not see any change, then definitely contact your injector to add more units.
Clinical Context
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator similar to Botox but with different diffusion characteristics. The smaller protein complex in Dysport may allow it to spread more readily across a treatment area, which can be advantageous for larger zones like the forehead. Dosing ratios between Dysport and Botox are not 1:1 — typically 2.5–3 Dysport units equal 1 Botox unit. Onset may be slightly faster than Botox, with some patients noticing results within 2–3 days.
Selecting a board-certified plastic surgeon who is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons ensures your surgeon has met the highest professional standards.
