Will Dysport effect last less if I get laser resurfacing some 1.5 months after Botox injection?
Laser resurfacing does not affect the longevity of Dysport. 1.5 months is plenty of time to wait between treatments. Typically the uptake for Botox/Dysport occurs within 24 hours so it should not be a problem.
The reason is that Dysport works inside the muscle, blocking nerve signals there, while laser resurfacing works on the surface of the skin. These two treatments act on different tissue layers, so one does not weaken or shorten the effect of the other. By six weeks out, any swelling from the injections has settled, so your skin is calm and ready for a heat based procedure. You should still notice the same smoothing effect from the Dysport at its usual pace and duration. If you notice unusual redness, blistering, or a return of movement that seems off after the laser session, mention it at your follow up or call the office.
Clinical Context
Timing here comes down to comfort and healing, not interference between treatments. Dysport works within muscle tissue via nerve signals, while laser resurfacing works on the skin's surface, so one doesn't shorten or weaken the other's duration. Scheduling laser about six weeks after Botox is typically fine once any initial swelling has settled, and your provider may simply want the skin calm before adding heat-based treatment. There's no fixed mandatory gap required purely to protect the neuromodulator's effect.
