Am I able to get Botox on my forehead if I'm bald? I've heard this could be a problem. Is this true?
There is no problem with getting botox in your forehead if you're bald. The main consideration to keep in mind is that your injector will need to assess how far up the muscle is active and make sure to fully treat otherwise you may notice an unusual pattern of movement limited to the upper part of your forehead/scalp where hair typically would hide it. As always, make sure to see an experienced, board-certified injector.
Clinical Context
Botox dosing for the forehead depends on how the frontalis muscle moves, not on hair coverage. This muscle varies in size and strength between people, so the same dose can look different on two foreheads. Injectors watch the brow and eye area too, since treating the forehead affects nearby muscles that control brow height and shape. A skilled injector adjusts placement and dose based on your individual movement pattern to keep results natural.
