Bad Idea to Plan a Tummy Tuck Two Weeks Before Leaving the Country?

I would like to get a tummy tuck and lipo of the torso and chin (36 years old, no children), but will be traveling quite a bit over the next two years. I had lipo before and went to work after three days. I was uncomfortable but not miserable. However, I am wondering if there is much follow up after the two week period. Is this a realistic time frame? If not, what is? Thank you.

Travel after tummy tuck

Thanks for your question As almost everyone has commented you need to give your self more time to recover. The key issues are availability of your surgeon post-operatively should you have a problem, management of drains (usually out by two weeks but sometimes can stay longer), risk of DVT which can be significant in lengthy plane rides after major surgery and of course your ability to enjoy your trip - you'll still likely be in some pain and not back to your normal self two weeks later. I hope this helps!
