Botox between eyebrows to reduce frowning

Botox between the eyebrows can reduce/temporarily eliminate frown lines. As far as nose crinkling is concerned, that is not an uncommon result after Botox treatment at the glabella (between the brows). Some individuals may have compensatory hyperactivity of the nasalis muscle after the glabellar complex is paralyzed. If this is botherseome, you can also have a few units of Botox injected into the nasalis muscle to reduce the crinkling at the nose.

Clinical Context

The muscles around the eyebrows (corrugator and procerus) and the muscle at the top of the nose (nasalis) work together during frowning. When Botox relaxes the brow muscles, some people unconsciously use the nasalis more to create the same expression, causing new wrinkling there. This is a well-recognized, temporary effect of glabellar Botox rather than a separate issue. A small amount of Botox in the nasalis can smooth this area as well.
