Can I get Botox in my masseters while undergoing Invisalign treatment?

Botox in the masseters while undergoing Invisalign is not a problem and will not affect your Invisalign treatment.

Clinical Context

Masseter Botox relaxes the chewing muscle to reduce clenching force. Tooth movement with Invisalign happens because the ligament around each tooth root remodels in response to the aligner's pressure, a process unrelated to muscle strength. Because of this, treating the masseter doesn't change how quickly or predictably your teeth move. Many patients who clench or grind also notice their aligners feel more comfortable after treatment, since the muscles pushing against the teeth are calmer.
