Can I use Resatylane injection on the tip of the nose?
Nasal tip swelling usually takes 1 year to fully subside after surgical rhinoplasty. I would recommend waiting at least 1 year before considering fillers in the nose for the best cosmetic outcome. Additionally, keep in mind that the vascular anatomy may be different after rhinoplasty which can increase your risks for vessel occlusion, skin necrosis, and blindness. Please make sure to see an experienced injector for treatment of this area.
Clinical Context
After rhinoplasty, the blood supply to the nasal tip skin can be altered—especially if cartilage grafts were used or the tip was reshaped. This can make the skin more vulnerable to injury from filler injections in that area. If you notice pain, unusual blanching, or discoloration during or after a nasal filler injection, contact your injector immediately, since prompt treatment gives the best chance of preventing lasting skin damage.
