Does Radiesse Leave Lumps?

With any type of injectable filler there can be a risk of lumps. The product has to be injected correctly and at the right depths to minimize the risk of lumps and bumps and give you great results. Radiesse is not ideal for injection at all areas of the face, so you should obtain a consultation to see what products are right for your needs.

Clinical Context

Not all lumps are the same. A bump felt right after injection often smooths out with gentle massage within a few days. A firmer lump that shows up later, or persists, is different and may reflect an inflammatory reaction to the calcium hydroxylapatite in Radiesse rather than normal healing. Bruising can also look like a lump until it fades. If a lump doesn't go away or seems to be changing, have your injector examine it rather than assuming it's routine swelling.
