First time Botox. When the doctor says it lasts 2-3 months for first time pt, does that mean 2-3 months from injection?
Botox has a dose dependent duration and typically lasts about 3-4 months between the eyebrows and at the crow's feet. The forehead itself tends to last a little bit less (2-3 months) because it's the only brow elevator and most injectors will avoid over-treatment of the frontalis muscle to minimize the risk of heaviness. I think most injectors don't differentiate between the 1-2 weeks from the treatment day to the day of maximal result (2 weeks). As others have mentioned, the results of Botox will gradually wear off around 3 months or sooner for area that require fewer units.
