How long should I wait to have CO2 laser resurfacing after getting Voluma in my upper cheeks?

It's safe to perform both procedures on the same day but is really dependent on patient comfort. Voluma is typically injected deep into the tissues and CO2 laser will not affect the product if placed correctly. However, if you prefer to wait, 2 weeks is a good interval to allow the product to settle. As for sun spots, CO2 will reduce the appearance of sun spots but depending on your skin type, IPL may be a better option.

Clinical Context

Voluma is placed deep, either just above the cheekbone or in the deeper fat layer, not in the skin itself. CO2 laser resurfacing works only on the skin's surface layers, reaching a fraction of a millimeter to a couple millimeters deep depending on settings. Because the laser and filler occupy different tissue planes, there's minimal risk of one affecting the other when injections are placed correctly. Some providers still prefer spacing sessions apart for comfort or healing time rather than medical necessity.
