If Botox doesn’t give the results wanted, can you switch to dysport at the two week follow up for the same area?
The short answer is yes, you can top off with a different neuromodulator but it shouldn't make much of a difference whether you use dysport or botox. If you really didn't see much improvement, more units will be required regardless of the product choice. It's typically best to keep with one product as you can then determine whether the movement was from insufficient units or, to a lesser degree, product selection.
Clinical Context
Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport work similarly but aren't identical—they can differ slightly in onset, spread, and duration. At a two-week follow-up, if results are insufficient, your provider may add units of the same product or switch brands. Sticking with one product on a touch-up makes it easier to tell whether the issue was dose or product choice, since mixing variables can blur what actually worked.
