I'm a 24 year old male who would like to know how many units you think I will need between my eyebrows?
For the glabella (the frown lines between the eyebrows), most men need somewhat more Botox than women because the corrugator and procerus muscles tend to be bulkier in male faces. A common starting dose in that area runs higher than the typical female dose, but the right amount really depends on how strong those muscles are and how complete a relaxation you want. Without an exam it's hard to give you an exact number that fits your anatomy.
Once you start treatment, your injector can adjust the dose at future visits based on how you responded. Some patients find that with regular treatment over time, the muscles weaken somewhat and fewer units are needed, or the effect lasts longer between sessions, though this varies person to person.
See a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist experienced in facial injectables for an in-person assessment and dosing plan.
Clinical Context
The glabella involves three muscles: the corrugators, which pull the brows together, and the procerus, which pulls the brow center down; the frontalis above helps counterbalance them. In men, these muscles are often stronger and sit under a more prominent brow bone, which is one reason dosing and injection pattern can differ from a woman's treatment plan. An in-person exam lets your injector map these muscles and tailor treatment to your anatomy.
