Is 4ccs to fix my tear troughs too much?

Most injectors will recommend to start gradually, especially in the delicate undereye area. I would say 1cc per undereye area is average; sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. It's difficult to know exactly how the 4cc will be used. It's possible they plan to use some in the mid face as well. It's also possible that you will have the 4cc used over a series of treatments to gradually fill the tear troughs. I'm sure your clinic would be happy to clarify any additional questions you have, especially if you're traveling internationally for the procedure.

Clinical Context

Tear trough filler volume varies by anatomy—some patients need more to correct hollowing from lost fat, others less if the shadow is mainly from skin laxity. Lighting and camera angle can also make the same treatment look different in photos. Many providers stage larger volumes across two visits so they can assess results once initial swelling resolves, rather than injecting everything at once.
