Is Bruising Unavoidable After Restylane Injections?
Does everyone get bruises after Restylane? If so, how long does the bruises and swelling last? I will be going on a trip four days after getting my Restylane. Is it safe? Thanks

Thanks for your question. In our San Francisco area practice, we find bruising to be very unusual after any injectable. Guidelines to follow include: 1. Avoiding blood thinning medications prior to treatment (eg aspirin) 2. Go to an experienced injector 3. There are treatments (such as cool compresses) that can reduce the chance of bruising even further. Your injector should be able to help you with these. I hope this helps.
