Is it normal to feel old breast crease and natural tissue over breast implants when bending over? 7 months post implants.

Yes, this is often normal. Your natural breast tissue and the implant behave like two separate structures that happen to sit in the same space. When you bend forward, gravity pulls the softer glandular tissue downward and forward, while the implant, especially if it's placed under the muscle, tends to stay put. That mismatch in mobility is what you're feeling as a distinct crease or ridge of natural tissue riding over the implant.

At seven months, tissues are still settling and scar capsule maturation is ongoing, so some asymmetry in movement between implant and breast tissue is expected. That said, if you're noticing a persistent visible step-off, a double-bubble appearance, or the implant seems to be sitting too high or low relative to the crease, that's worth an in-person exam. A board-certified plastic surgeon can tell you whether this is simply anatomy in motion or something like implant malposition that would benefit from correction.

Clinical Context

Right after surgery, both the breast tissue and the internal scar capsule are still adjusting to the implant's presence. The capsule usually continues softening and settling for several months, while the skin and glandular tissue above it move more freely since they were never altered by surgery. This is why the two layers can feel like they shift independently, especially when bending forward. If the sensation changes suddenly or comes with new shape distortion, that's worth mentioning at a follow-up visit.
