Voluma
Is Voluma capable of enhancing my cheekbones as well as Radiesse?
Voluma should be able to give you similar results to Radiesse when injected at the cheeks without giving you a rounder face. Voluma also lasts longer than Radiesse and can be reversed if ever necessary. Radiesse cannot be dissolved. Both products are injected in a similar manner to create lift and volume.
Clinical Context
Voluma and Radiesse both add volume by staying where they're placed rather than dissolving into tissue, but they're built differently. Voluma is a hyaluronic acid gel with a high G-prime, meaning it holds its shape well under the weight of cheek tissue. Radiesse uses calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel carrier, which also stimulate some of your own collagen over time. Because Radiesse isn't hyaluronic acid, there's no enzyme available to dissolve it the way Voluma can be reversed.
