One eyebrow is lower than the other & little excess skin making it look uneven. Can I use Botox to lift one eyebrow?
Botox can create a subtle chemical brow lift by relaxing the muscles that pull the brow down, such as the orbicularis oculi and corrugator, which lets the frontalis muscle raise that side slightly higher. This works best for mild asymmetry caused by muscle imbalance, not for excess skin. If the unevenness is coming from extra upper eyelid skin (dermatochalasis) or brow ptosis, Botox won't correct that, and you may need eyelid surgery or a brow lift to address the skin itself. The muscle-weakening effect from Botox is temporary, typically lasting a few months, and doesn't cause any lasting change in the muscle that would affect future surgical options. An in-person exam is really the only way to tell whether your asymmetry is muscular, skin-related, or both. A board-certified plastic surgeon or experienced injector can assess your brow position and skin laxity together and recommend the right combination of treatments.
Clinical Context
The most common misunderstanding here is thinking Botox can "lift" a brow the way surgery would — it can't add lift, it can only relax the small muscles pulling a brow downward, which sometimes evens out a mild asymmetry. If one brow sits lower mainly because of excess upper eyelid skin, Botox won't address that, and could even make things look more uneven. Results build over one to two weeks and fade over a few months, so any correction is temporary and needs repeating.
