Pubic Area Appears Bigger After Tummy Tuck
There are probably a combination of issues regaridng the mons appearance. 1. What did your mons look like prior? 2. Where was the incision placed? 3. How tight was the closure? 4. What was the skin quality like? The mons will likely descend as the skin stretches through your recovery. Clinical Context
The pubic area sits just below where a tummy tuck incision is placed, and in most techniques it isn't tightened the way the abdomen above it is. After surgery, swelling commonly collects in this lower region and can take longer to resolve than swelling higher on the abdomen. As that swelling fades and the skin above continues to settle over the following weeks to months, the mons area typically looks less prominent and comes into better balance with the rest of the abdomen.
