Reconstituted Botox: Is it normally used for the frown lines and 11's?

Botox comes in a powder form and is reconstituted by the provider prior to injection. This is normal. Botox does loose some efficacy over time and it's best to be used within 24-48 hours of reconstitution.

Clinical Context

The way Botox is mixed can affect how far it spreads once injected. For frown lines between the brows, precise placement and dosing help keep the effect limited to the muscles causing the lines. If the product spreads too far, it can reach nearby muscles, including the one that lifts the eyelid, causing temporary drooping. This risk depends mainly on injection technique, depth, and location near the eye — not on how recently the Botox was mixed.
