In our San Francisco area practice patients sometimes look for a clitoral hood reduction at the same time as labiaplasty and sometimes patients seek this treatment without additional procedures. The procedure involves reduction of some of the skin around the clitoris. This procedure must be approached with caution as complications can include scarring or over resection of tissue around the clitoris which can leave the clitoris exposed which patients can find painful.
