Which Eye Drops Are Best for Droopy Eyelid Due to Botox?

Prescription eyedrops that may help elevate the eyelid a couple of millimeters is apraclonidine. This helps only with eyelid ptosis and not eyebrow ptosis. Consult with your injector to determine that you truly have eyelid ptosis and what the best solution is for you. This will go away on its own over time, but it can take several weeks.

Clinical Context

Botox-related eyelid droop occurs when a small amount of toxin diffuses into the levator palpebrae, the muscle that lifts the eyelid. Apraclonidine works differently: it's an alpha-adrenergic drop that stimulates Müller's muscle, a separate small muscle in the eyelid, giving a modest lift. It doesn't reverse the Botox itself—it temporarily helps another muscle compensate until the toxin wears off. It won't correct eyebrow heaviness, since that involves different muscles entirely.
