Why is Botox still affecting muscles at 7.5 months?

Botox typically lasts around 3-4 months, but it is possible to have lingering results. Higher doses tend to have longer duration. I would review your “before” photos with your injector to assess the issues that you are experiencing.

Clinical Context

Botox effects usually fade over 3-4 months as nerve-muscle signaling gradually recovers. Occasionally results last longer, especially with higher doses, larger muscles, or deeper placement. Everyone metabolizes the toxin at a somewhat different rate, so some variation in duration is normal and not necessarily a sign of a problem. If movement hasn't returned well past the usual window, your injector can compare it to your prior treatments to understand why.
