Will my very swollen and uneven Restylane lip injections result correct itself?

3 days is too early to determine final result. Lips are notorious for swelling after filler injections and often look asymmetric in the first week. I encourage all patients to allow 2 weeks for the product to settle and swelling to resolve before reassessing.

Clinical Context

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid gel that attracts water, which adds to early puffiness beyond the actual injected volume. Lips have thin, mobile skin and a dense blood supply, so needle passes commonly cause swelling and bruising that can affect each side unevenly. This swelling, not the filler itself, is usually the main cause of asymmetry seen in the first few days. As it subsides over one to two weeks, the lips typically look more even without any adjustment needed.
